Business-mission “Trade and Industrial Dialog Russia-Japan”

President of Taishi Group of Companies Igor Dyachenko took part in the Business mission “Trade and Industrial Dialog: Russia-Japan” which was held in Tokyo on February 29. Russian delegation was headed by the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov.

“The atmosphere of trust and opportunity for direct dialog between business, political, and financial circles of our countries are particularly important in the context of mutual restrictions and subsequent negative tendencies in export and import transactions. Under these conditions, only constant contact and the ability to communicate efficiently can create the necessary framework for long-term cooperation,” emphasized Denis Manturov, the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

Business does not stop in spite of sanctions. That is the main message of the Trade and Industrial Dialog: Russia-Japan business mission.
Over the course of two days, more than 670 Russian and Japanese businessmen and the authorities representing 9 regions of Russia participated in approximately 20 events. CEOs of major industrial companies and banks held multiple negotiation sessions and discussed their cooperation and the strengthening of mutually beneficial relations in the course of over 50 b2b meetings. At the business mission, parties concluded 5 agreements, including the Memorandum on Cooperation in the Industrial Policy Area between the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan signed by Denis Manturov, the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, and Hayashi Motoo, the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan.
Business mission participants toured 5 major manufacturing facilities and submitted their proposals for the localization of Japanese production facilities in Russia.

“We welcome any work formats, including business missions, and are always eager to meet with our Japanese partners as often as necessary for the development of useful, productive cooperation between our two countries,” said Denis Manturov in conclusion.
